Plan Deviation

Sunday, 24 November 2013

We decided to put off the next walk, Codornices Park and instead went up to Dorothy Bolte Park and did the #17 Walk (Acacia Walk) on Saturday. On Sunday, we decided on a sunny walk and did the #29 Walk (Upper Piedmont Park).

At the top of Acacia Steps, we came across a family, with the father consulting the Secret Stairs book. We stopped for five minutes and had a nice chat. They are just starting out with the book, and so far there seems to be agreement Rose Walk #9 is quite good. The mother works up at the top of Terrace View Park (Walk #11) and is prepared for the great view there.

Sunday’s walk was good, and there were quite a few walkers out and about.

Later in the afternoon, we were on St James Drive in Piedmont and saw a couple huddled at the foot of one of the staircases in Trestle Glen and Piedmont (Walk #25). They were consulting the Secret Stairs book, looking for the staircase down to Trestle Glen.

Here are links to #17, #25 and #29.

A sore foot meant we put off the 1,230 steps of Cordonices Park.

Next—Codornices Park. Maybe we’ll cover Berryman, too. Maybe.
