Panoramic Hills
Panoramic Hills, reprise
Sunday, 13 October 2013
A fine autumn day this morning. We went up the Bancroft Steps, went right past the hazardous materials sign, which is the question mark in the map of the route.
Just a bit after the H/M sign, we started up Orchard Lane.
The occupants must like giraffes. There is a small display now of small giraffes to the right of the Lane, at the back of the house.
Just before the hairpin turn to the left on Panoramic Way, we noticed the red house (driveway on the roof) that had been undergoing major work is finished. Stop and take a look at the angles of the house from below.
Eventually, we worked our way over to the Frank Lloyd Wright house on Mosswood. The best we can say is, the appearance is somewhat more shabby now than a year ago. Get a look at it while it’s still there!
Then we went down Mosswood Path, turned back down the bottom section of Orchard Lane, and soon we were back at the football stadium. Oh, its construction was finished by opening day last year.
Here is a link to the first entry in the blog about Walk #4.
This walk isn’t long, but it does have some steep parts—great exercise. Once on Orchard Lane, it was a quiet walk, not many cars up there.
Next—Campus Walk, on the University of California campus.
