Seattle & Vancouver, BC

June 21, 2025

We flew to Settle from Bozeman, Montana, a distance of 543 miles, and took a taxi to our downtown Seattle hotel.

The next day, we took a bus and streetcar to visit the very cool Museum of Flight located near the Airport. We were able to tour an Air Force One plane from the 1960’s.

We returned to downtown Seattle and saw a nice Richard Serra sculpture in Olympic Park, and then some Chihuly glass art, see above.

We spent some time walking around downtown Seattle which we had not been to since 1991, and saw the nice central library.

The next day, June 23rd, we picked up a rental car and drove about 150 miles north to Vancouver, British Columbia. There we visited the very fine Museum of Anthropology with its wonderful collection of art, totems and other artifacts from First Nations’ Peoples.

We stayed near downtown Vancouver and spent some time admiring the architecture. The next day, we visited Stanley Park and the aquarium, the largest in Canada, where we saw beluga whales, dolphins and other sea life.

On June 25th, we checked out of our hotel and visited the Bloedel Conservatory with a wonderful array of colorful birds and plants.

We then drove back to SEA-TAC airport and boarded a flight for Oakland.

We left Bozeman and spend four nights in the Northwest cities of Seattle, WA and Vancouver, BC.
