Phuket

We flew south about one thousand miles from Chiang Mai to Phuket Island to sit on the beach along the Andaman Sea for a few days. Sorry, no photos.
We visited the Phi Phi Islands for snorkeling at Maya Bay. We also took a boat to tour Phang Nga Bay, where we used a kayak to visit sea caves. Phang Nga Bay has thousands of islands and limestone karsts.
The newspaper reported that Chiang Mai had turned very cold and dipped below freezing. Here it was in the mid to high 80s.
We didn’t take any pictures with the real camera. This was taken with a disposable.
PS: two weeks after we left Phuket our hotel was hit by a deadly tsunami. Terrible
We went to Phuket for a few days on the beach before returning home.
Next—we flew back to Bangkok to catch a 6 AM flight to San Francisco via Tokyo Narita, 8,013 miles.
