Kyoto Part 2

We returned on the train to Kyoto and visited Tofukuji Temple. 

As we were looking around this building with its nice garden, a parade of monks emerged from the interior.

Here are two more buildings at the same site. 

Dinner was in one of the many restaurants on this street.

Chicken on–a–stick dinners were a regular feature on this trip.

We left the next day for Narita Airport and the flight back to California.

This is the departure board at Kyoto Station for high speed trains going to Tokyo. Each train is 16 cars long, and the frequency of service is amazing.

Here are the return flights. 5,788 miles/9,314 kilometers.

After visiting Nara, we took a train back to Kyoto and packed up for the trip north to Narita Airport and the flight home.
