To Windhoek and Namibia

We flew from California to Windhoek, Namibia, via Frankfurt and Johannesburg, a distance of 11,800 miles/19,000 kilometers. We left on August 23rd and arrived on August 25th. It was a long trip.
We spent the night in a nice lodge near the airport. Tomorrow morning, we will take a small propeller plane southwest to Kuala Desert Lodge, shown with a tent symbol.
This map shows the various flights we will take around Namibia between camps.
We flew to Frankfurt on what is probably our last flight on a Boeing 747, and then transferred to Johnannesburg, and then after a short period, boarded another plane for Windhoek. The next day we flew out to Sossusvlei, where we will stay for two nights.
