The Walkers

Why?

Looking for some exercise and new sights. Walking is better than driving—you see much more. Plus it has a certain corniness about it that keeps us smiling.

The view of the bridge is one that cannot be seen from an automobile.

We’ve also been walking on our side of the Bay. Check out:

Information

Two people are on the walk, both north of fifty years of age. No special equipment is being used, just good socks. Long time residents of Oakland*, just across the Bay.

Cameras used for taking the snapshots are all made by Canon: S70, S5 IS (which broke early on in the expedition) and SX1 IS (which also broke, same problem—the lens would not retract). Manipulation is made with Aperture some of the time.

*The New York Times puts the word “gritty” in front of Oakland all of the time. Why? They don’t put gritty in front of Brooklyn or Los Angeles.
